Since everyone is different, the time it takes to get pregnant is different for every woman.
Statistics tell us you have a one in five chance of getting pregnant every time you try. So a young, healthy, well-informed couple might start trying in May and probably succeed before September.
For women in their late twenties to late thirties, the average range of success is between eight and ten months.
Although the statistics indicate that ten percent of healthy women will take more than a year, and five percent will take more than two, there is no way to know which end of the spectrum you’re on. Some women conceive on their first try.
If you’re trying to get pregnant for more than two years without success, it doesn’t mean there is anything wrong. However, it doesn’t hurt to find out.
