If you find yourself six months into your pregnancy efforts without success, you might start wondering if it’s ever going to work. Don’t forget what we said in our ‘Getting Pregnant – How long will it take’ — it can take up to two years!
However, being stressed out doesn’t make it any easier and getting an answer is as simple as visiting your doctor
Your GP can run a variety of tests to see if your reproductive system is healthy. Essentially, your doctor will be looking to see if you are producing eggs, if those eggs are making their way down the fallopian tube, and if the sperm are able to make it through the cervix.
When you visit your doctor, bring your partner with you. Don’t forget—you’re not alone in ensuring the success of conception! The health of your partner’s sperm is as vital to the process as your own. Your doctor can examine your partner’s sperm to make certain they’re healthy.
